Description

Modern Upholstered Sofa with Vertical Channel Backrest

The MTJ18 is a modern upholstered sofa design distinguished by its softly curved silhouette and vertically channelled backrest. Rather than relying on elaborate decoration, this design creates visual interest through its carefully arranged upholstery lines, rounded upper corners, and clean proportions.

The closely spaced vertical channels extend across the inner backrest, introducing texture and depth without overwhelming the furniture’s minimalist appearance. The outer backrest gently curves toward the sides, creating a continuous shape that visually connects the back and arm areas.

Its light beige fabric appearance contributes to a calm, neutral aesthetic, making the design suitable for contemporary living rooms, bedrooms, and thoughtfully furnished sitting areas.

Curved Backrest and Smooth Upholstered Seat

One of the defining characteristics of this modern sofa design is the contrast between its detailed backrest and uninterrupted seat surface.

The vertical channel upholstery creates a structured decorative pattern, while the broad, smooth seat maintains a simple appearance. The gently rounded sides soften the overall shape and give the sofa a more inviting visual character.

The reference image shows a neutral textured upholstery finish that works particularly well with wooden flooring, patterned rugs, and understated interior accessories.

Angled Wooden Legs and Raised Base

The sofa features exposed, tapered wooden legs positioned at a slight outward angle. Their natural wood-toned appearance adds warmth to the otherwise neutral upholstery.

The raised base creates visible space beneath the seat, giving the furniture a lighter appearance than fully upholstered floor-level designs.

This combination of slim legs, a compact-looking body, and a softly curved backrest makes MTJ18 particularly appealing for interiors that favor clean furniture silhouettes.

Kail Wood / Partal Wood Structure with Master Molty Foam

The MTJ18 is manufactured using Kail Wood / Partal Wood for its structure and Master Molty Foam for cushioning, according to the supplied product specifications.

The upholstered construction allows the decorative backrest channels and smooth seat to form a coordinated design. Customers can discuss suitable fabric selections and finishing preferences before production.

A Contemporary Sofa for Different Interior Settings

With its neutral appearance and understated detailing, MTJ18 can complement modern, Scandinavian-inspired, and minimalist interiors.

It can serve as an accent sofa in a bedroom, a decorative seating piece in a lounge, or part of a coordinated living room furniture arrangement.

At Obsession Outlet, this upholstered sofa is available made to order, allowing customers to discuss selected dimensions, upholstery colors, and finishing options according to their space and preferences.
